Max Payne 3 has a known issue with dx11.
Rockstar will not fix this, so if you are having trouble with crashes:
Try enabling dx9.
--
you can do this by
Right click Max Payne 3 in the list.
Click [Properties]
Click [Set launch options]
write [-dx9]
Click OK and done.
--
Make sure your game is running DX9 in-game.
-Play
