Tutorial: FreeRoam Mod

This mod allows you to walk up most terrain. It's fairly easy to install and should take about 10 minutes, depending on how experienced you are at modding.

• Download the Free Roam Application[fabletlcmod.com]
  
• Extract the .exe from the archive and run it
  
• Choose File from the top menu and click open
  
• Find your Steam\SteamApps\common\fable the lost chapters\data\Levels folder in the application's explorer and choose FinalAlbion.wad
  
• Make sure TNG and Lev (Patched) are chosen, then click RIP!
  
• Choose the Steam\SteamApps\common\fable the lost chapters\data folder in the application's browser, then click Save
  
• You're now done with the application, close it
  
• Find the Steam\SteamApps\common\fable the lost chapters\data\Levels folder in your file browser
  
• Rename FinalAlbion.wad to something else, I renamed mine to "FinalAlbion (no barriers).wad", if you want to play with barriers again just rename the file back to FinalAlbion.wad
  
  Now you're all set! There will still be some invisible barriers, however I believe those are limitations of the engine and not manually added. Traversing water is difficult, as it makes the camera bug out.

I tried it but when i go to replace the name it stops and says fable has stopped working. Do you have any suggestions.

Do you have Fable open while doing this? If so, exit it and it'll work.

[General Specific]

Are there also enemies and chests in the new parts of the areas that are available? I will try the mod and its certainly a great idea but it would be a bit dull to roam around an empty area.

Nope, just empty areas, but that's a really good idea. If I had any modding skills i'd implement it myself :P

Ah man, this looks like a cool mod, but in all honesty I want to keep Fable TLC vanilla for the nostalgia value.

Will there ever be a way to integrate Free Roam into Anniversary? I've been using it for a long ass time on TLC, but only recently though about using it on Anniversary.
