Retail CD Key Not Working
I'm trying to use the CD key I have for my retail copy of Fable TLC but Steam doesn't recognise it. I'd install it via the CD itself, but my new PC doesn't have a disc drive. Any suggestions?

Thanks. So any suggestion as to how I might be able to go about installing/ downloading this legally?

You should be able to redeem your code here[account.xbox.com]. You'll need to log in with your GFWL account to do so.

Once you do that, you can use the GFWL Client[www.xbox.com] to download/install Fable TLC.

Thanks a lot for your response, Circi0, but it's saying that it couldn't find the code I'm entering. I'm entering the 25 character 'Product Key' on the sticker inside my CD case - I'm not using any capitals and I've tried using hyphens and tried without. Could it be that it's just too old to activate online?

I guess not, then? I've tried using Google to find a solution but I keep coming across GFWL 'solutions' that don't help at all.

Hey hey! Did you solve the problem? :) I have the same issue; Steam says that the product key is invalid and I have no disc drive..
Thanks

i'm also having the same issue and would like to get a tip on how to go about installing my game, it just keeps telling me that my cd key is invalid and i don't use xbox so that GFWL option ain't an option for me....

Big necro for this thread. I've had this game sitting in it's box for too many years and would love to get back into it. My problem is similar to the OP, as I don't have a DVD drive that works, but steam isn't accepting the code, nor can I find anywhere to contact support directly. Any help would be appreciated.

you can go out and buy an external disc drive. they range from around $15 - $30. they're pretty much sold at any electronics store.
