fishing

I know this may sound stupid,but I can't figure out how to fish. How do you use the reel? Any help would be great Thx

Gotta get a fishing rod first, of course. Walk up to a pond, check that the hot key in the lower left corner of your screen is showing, it'll look like a fish hook. If the hot key is showing, press it. After that, keep your eye on the gauge in the upper right corner of your screen. Watch the progress bar. When it stops, start clicking the left mouse button until the progress bar starts to turn red. Stop clicking or the line will snap. Wait a second and begin again. Keep it up and you will eventually catch something. ( You can't catch an old shoe! )

This game never gets old!
