How does the aging work?
Ive been grinding and in game I am on 14 days and age 39. I also just got to oakvale so I do not think I am too far in the story. Do i stop aging at a point or will I get to like 80 and die. Someone said that when I level up my will my age changes. I think i am level 3 with will so not to high right? Does anyone know what causes aging or a way to turn it off or slow it down? Please and Thank You.

Not an expert, but I do believe aging(maximum 65) is tied entirely to leveling up though I can't give specifics. It seems every ohter skill/attribute increase adds a year or two to your age. There's a way to remove up to 10 years with the Temple of Avo in Knothole Glade. Ohter then that the only way, outside of mods, to stop aging would be to stop leveling, which is doable as I did a run without reaching the age of 27. BTW, you can't die of old age so don't worry about that happening.

Yeeman is right,

1) You age a bit every time you spend experience, about a year per skill you level up.
2) The maximum age is 65 years.
3) You can decrease your age by donating to the Temple of Avo or sacrificing innocents at the Chapel of Skorm.
4) You can abuse hero saving during the quest "Find the Archaeologist" to be able to repetaedly donate to the Temple of Avo and reduce your age all the way back down to 18.

Thanks I will remember the hero save for the temple and I was also curious if you can have children? Or can you just marry someone. Can i marry guys? I think i rember seeing a guy walking around the city by the guild with a heart above his head. Thank you again for all the advice. Is there also a way for my character to look more muscular? My character just always looks slim.

You can't have kids in The Lost Chapters, but you can in Fable 2 and 3, but I think those are still Xbox exclusives.

You can marry guys, but there tend to be fewer guys you can marry than girls. Anyone with a heart above their head is interested in you, and the bigger the heart the more they like you. Someone with a gold heart above their head is someone you can marry, and you do that by giving them a wedding ring.

Your spouse occasionally gives you presents if the marriage is going well, and you can have one spouse per village. So you could marry several guys and get free stuff from theml. But the presents they give you usually aren't worth keeping, so maybe not.

Also, you don't get a dowry for marrying a man. Not that it's ever stopped me. Dowries are usually piddling anyway.

And you can get more muscular by spending exp points in the strength category when you're upgrading your character. Physique, health, or toughness doesn't matter, putting points into any of the three will make your character more muscular. Putting points into the skill category will make him taller, too.

Thank you again for all the advice. I was also wonder about having multiple spouses. I was worried about the age and everything with the game but honestly my character gets more handsome the more he ages :) Thank you again for the tips! :healthyhearthling:

No worries, any time.

He really does get more attractive as he ages, until around 50 when he starts to get blurry because the game isn't so old that the graphics are bad, but is so old that it doesn't have much fine detail. So wrinkles end up looking like smudges lol

I liked my guy getting a bit grey, but was always jealous of the mages with the white hair. I didn't care much about ageing, but when I got knocked down I'd usually cheat and quit to avoid the permanent scarring. ;)

But I thought Lost Chapters at least let you adopt from that school or something?

It's been a long time since I played these, but just looking at this thread highlights the fact that there was a LOT of customization and options even in the first game. People who were so upset about all the things Peter promised but couldn't deliver should look at what was actually available and try to have fun with it, rather than turning their nose up at what can be a very fun and satisfying game.

@Arucard When I first played TLC it was on a friend's Xbox, I didn't know much about gaming in general, and I had never heard of Peter Molyneux, so I got to experience it untainted by his failed promises, lol. But I loved TLC, and it's my favourite game to this day.

And,

idk what you mean. What school? Edit: Oh, do you mean adopt kids from the school in Bowerstone North? Nah, you can't. Afaik, Fable III was the only one in the series that had adoption.
