Error creating profile

Basically bought this game but cannot progress past the settings at start up as an error message keeps showing '' There has been a problem saving your profile'' does any have a fix/ work around for this ?

I went into my [Controlled Folder Access] settings and added the game's Fable.exe to the list of [Allowed Apps] that can skip the access dialogue pop-up. Since it didn't offer a pop-up in the first place, I assume manually allowing access in the only way to do it.

That's what worked for me, anyway.

System: Windows 11

Fumble with this if you've never checked Installed Files before:
Steam > Library > Fable - The Lost Chapters > Properties > Installed Files > Browse > Fable.exe

You might not have a save folder created, I think I came across this issue once upon a time.

Go to Documents > My Games > Fable and check you have a "Saves" folder, if not create it and try again.
