Everybodys Gone To The Rapture PC Port

Dear Esther was a great game and we would all like to see its spiratual successor on pc as well

Chinese Room are contracted to Sony to produce the game exclusively for the PS4. You can complain all you like to Chinese Room - they don't have any say in the matter now. And what are the chances of Sony allowing one of their titles to go to the PC? Pretty much zero.

man the gamplay that just got released looks phenominal as well sigh i hope their comment of "Not saying it wont ever come to pc" comes true because i was a huge fan and this kinda crushed my dreams especially with a massive resurgence of great indi titles comming this year

They could be saying that it is only coming to PS4 for the time-being for legal reasons. Sony probably don't want The Chinese Room telling everyone there will be a PC port coming 6 months down the line, for obvious reasons. I wouldn't lose hope just yet. Dan Pinchbeck is well aware of the PC audience that allowed Dear Esther to flourish, I trust he will try his best to do the right thing.

I remember an interview in which The Chinese Room stated how impressed they were with Sony's pitch to them. Sony's effort and vision with Indie developers for the PS4 basically turned their heads. I believe it's the Sony Santa Monica studio that they're working with during the project.
I'm guessing money was involved, otherwise there would be no sense in an exculsive release. I don't blame the studio for agreeing a timed exclusive, the extra cash may go along way and you don't turn your back on the very customers who made you in the first place. I do however resent the idea of a full exculsive, especially when you've created a fan base on another platform. Time will tell I guess. But it's small choice's like that which stay with people.

Er SOE has made games for the PC before. ♥♥♥♥, planetside 2 happens to be a PC EXCLUSIVE, not to mention others.

Used the PC platform to get success and build a studio, then dumped it for the PS4 when Sony dangled some money in front of them.

SOE aren't related to Sony's PlayStation market in any way.
They're free to make games for whichever platform they like, especially since they've renamed themselves.

I'm actually extremely angry. Did they promise anywhere that it would be for PC? If they did, they might have to release it for PC.

Either way, I will never buy another Sony product. I'm done with them.

After the recent showing up of Everybodys Gone to The Rapture on Steam db their still might be hope yet for the game to come to pc. I have emailed the developers to try and see if they get a response to coment on whether this is true or not.

As I dont have twitter and do not plan anytime soon getting twitter they suggested trying to put it on social media as much as possible to show sony that their is a demand out there for it to come to pc.
