Sonic 4 Ep. 2 won't launch

When I hit play, the small window will appear saying "Preparing to launch Sonic 4 Episode 2". That's normal. What isn't normal is the fact that window will stay up forever and the game will never begin no matter how long you wait. I've played this game all the way through multiple times (check my acheivements if you don't believe me), and nothing that I know of has changed on my computer. I don't want to delete all local content unless I really have to.

Any ideas? Has anyone had this happen and found a solution?

Uninstall Steam.

Its the !@#$%^&*() thing that still keeps the window you're complaining about no matter what.

The same problem, i buy pc with windows 10 installed and the sonic 4 epi 2 don't run.
show a erro.
No more sonic 4 episode 2... sad :(
