What is a "Pokora"?

Is a Pokora a common japanese fictional animal or something similar?

I just stumbled upon this game called "Fushigina Mori no Pokora", and it seems to have a pretty similar artstyle to SotES, and also has animals called "Pokora", while Fortune Summoners has an item called Teddy Pokora. I also see an animal that looks like the Copocola Strap. Sadly it's not in english so I don't even know how to play it.

Doesn't seem to be a game from Lizsoft, but any chance this is from the same author under a different company name or something?
