Book of Evil bugged

I have a lvl 53 mage with 48 int and have nearly all of the mage perks. My two major summon spells are Phoenix followed by the Book of Evil. The phoenix works fine, but the Book of Evil has become bugged.

When I used to cast a level 3 Book it would summon a Book with over 8k hp and dish out thousands of points in damage. Now the same spell summons a Book with only 600 hp and barely does 500 hp of damage. When I look in the spell description it gives the book strength as "0". Reverting to older saves doesn't help.

Game also has become somewhat unstable as I crash to the deskop with an error message every other gaming session when it used to be very stable.

lol yeah, they released a patch or two yesterday that seemed to break things as much as fix them. I understand it's not easy for devs, and I'm not knocking them...I love this game, it's my fave to play...but it's my money and my time...so am leaving it alone now til they've genuinely fixed it all up. They will :)

After the latest update Mana Spring is also broke and does not work. I thought they fixed the game, not break it!

Same happenend to me. Book of Evil is one of my main spells, and now it's unusable...

What really gets me is that book of evil is listed under FIXES in the patch notes.
It seems even things highlighted in the patch notes were not tested, let along anything else.
