The game won't start (anymore)

Hello everybody :)

When I start the game nothing happens (the steam start button changes to "cancel", "stop" and back to "start").
I tried compatibility modus to windows 7 and windows 8.
I verified the game files, reinstalled the game, started the game from windows explorer, checked the log folder, checked the event viewer, disconnected my second monitor, changed my resolution to 1280x720, restarted my computer, started the game as administrator, verified if the game was running in the background, checked "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution", ....
I never got an error, but I can't play the game anymore.
It's been a long time since I played it, but it is/was a nice game.

Any help would be appriciated O:-)

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Kings Bounty Warriors of the North
some config stuff and the save files there you can make sure theyre gone after uninstalling so that its a clean install but maybe theres more files out there not sure

I renamed the game.ini file to "old game.ini" in the location you mentioned and it started right away (had to change some setting but that's peanuts).
