Before installing the DLC i have never had a single game crash for 200+ hours of gameplay
But now I am stuck in the Cave of Mystery on Ice Island - and there is one group of strong enemies, who I fight but I can never finish the combat - the game crashes regularly shortly before the end of all fights. Auto combat or manual fighting doesn't make a difference.
The bad thing thing is, I need to pass the enemy in order to go on in the game.
I could flee the area with the 'crush' enemies and have fought a few more battles, until I crashed again. Interesting for me is the fact, the crash regular4ly happens, when lizards attack.
Is this information for our friendly play-writer ?
I have found a way, to fight the enemies without crashing. The culprits, who crash the game are Gorguls and Advisors, as soon as they attack, the game crashes. My strategy now is, as soon as I have either of these two to fight, I only fight them by shooting missiles and use magic at them. I have now fought all those enemies which crashed the game initially - and I am still enjoying KQ - Ice and Fire - without a crash.
I had to kill those lizards which dive in to the earth first.
They were crashing the game for me.
Word is that the developer seems not to care or acknowledge, but I think if enough people make reports and stop buying their games they'd care to fix it.
With that said, I have no problem not supporting, since It's not the same developer who created the original series, "King's Bounty" was sold to this developer.
game crashes sometimes maybe.but seemed pretty stable to me, you sure you running a clean system and clean install?
In my case I have re-installed the game and on different drives and the problems persist. And the worse thing about is that there is no significant event which triggers it, it changes over time.
Fortunetly now, the game only crashes on exit, so I get to play as long as Id like, save my gameplay but it will then crash on the title screen afterwards.
This "fixed" it for me. With the steam overlay enabled I was getting random ctd's. And if not I would at the very least ctd on exit.
With the steam overlay disabled, no crashes at all. Not even on exit anymore.
