Have fun
Other than the Vigaroe info, I haven`t found any in depth guides to the Valkyries, sorry .
There`s a great guide for Warriors of The North on Steam , with more basic info about them - and sometimes that`s easier to take in , so ;

BTW, this whole guide is amazing , and helped me a lot on my first playthrough . I only wish Sethmage had added the DLC to it .
I have not looked at Sethmage's treatise yet, but wanted to thank you first.
Senior means valkyrie is in charge of other valkyries and places in the middle of big squere. She becomes "queen", this will improve her passive boost by several times. Anytime you can switch main valkyrie to another one, main will lose boost and secondary will become main and get boost.
Taking controll of runes means AI will use them, so you don't have to make extra clicks manually. But AI is dumb and you won't be able to precicely choose when to activate runes. For example, wasting them before reaching enemy. But you can turn it on/off any time.
Yes, I am impress with Sethmage's guide. When I finally realized that I was only on the first page, I began to understand why it is amazing. This has to be the "go to" document for answers. Thanks again.
Passive skills working all the time, but active abilities will require an ammount of battles to win in order to recharge and ready to be used. You can hover mouse over valkyrie to see how many battles still required until you can use active ability again. If i recall correctly, first valkyrie needs 20 battles to recharge, second 15 and third only 7. Their charges will recharge simultaneously and cannot be sped up by any means rather than fighting.
