War Maidens

I've noticed that there's only a few of them available to recruit from shops and army leaders. As opposed to different units that come in large numbers. At this point I have no idea where to recruit them. I have access to the middle continent, the four viking islands, the East and West orc lands and the island below Arlania. I bought out all of the War Maidens from known sources before the Giant Spider fight and currently there's no place I can find them.

Does any of the locations above have a place where I could recruit them from? Are they obtainable later on?

i think its random so youre probably out of luck. maybe youll find more later on but you could start thinking about replacing them in the meantime

sorry been a while since i played this. i guess you could check the guide but youll get a bit spoiled. anyways i recomend switching units up, makes the game more entretaining IMO. trying new unit combos and the such

Castles do tend to replenish troops after certain quests, might be worth paying a visit now and then.

As above though, troops and items are randomized every game, so no one knows. Usually you find a few troops here and there but not enough to fill in an army spot. I think you will find a few more places with viking units but they might not even have your maidens.

If you like a lot a specific unit, I"d suggest sacrify spell to raise them back at the expense of less valuable units. Otherwise, it's time to change your roster (just garrison them in a castle and hope you'll get lucky someday).

Thanks for the answer. I did find them on one of the first viking islands after a while, so it seems that it might take some ingame days or perhaps a specific questline to refresh castle troops.
