I think this game will be great.You can buy a early version,close beta ist startet.

The gameplay feels very realistic and its not such a call of duty clone like america´s army 4.
Weapon-sounds are fantastic and you have no hud or a heals-bar,the game runs only in a "hardcore-mode".
And this early version you can buy at steam is much more fineshed then much full-prize games
are.

So basically you're just name dropping some other random game, which apparently has the same features as us (Hardcore mode), and isn't free (so you're basically telling people to go buy a game over a free one), and just skipping over the fact that this one is still a beta and hardly finished.

Me and a lot of other guys think the same:america´s army go to mainstream.Beta or not beta,the gameplay is not so realistic as america´s army 2.Many newer games are too fast and actionlike,no real tactical gameplay as america´s army 2 or the bf2 mod project reality.

I play tactic shooter for a very long time and was very happy about a new america´s army.but its only a call of duty clone (and many players and america´s army 2 player-veterans say the same).
Yes,you can say its a beta,but the gamemechanics will be the same with the full.Hope they will put the leaning function and doors in the game.Lol a tactic shooter without leaning and doors.........yes i know,its a beta!

And so i search for another tactical shooter,and insurgency 2 is an ALPHA,and look at this game,very great,the alpha is like a full version .

Insurgency 2 is only an example for a good tactical game,Project reality is a great game (mod) too.
But i hate it every time to hear the same its a beta blabla.....

Look at Arma 3,its horrible optimized,very less content,very buggy and some fanboys say the same: its a beta!,but this beta will be relased next week.

I am only very angry because most newer games will be go to mainstream or will be relased very buggy and unoptimized.
And when a game is good with only SOME bugs, i will pay for that. But the feeling in america´s army 4 is not like a great tactic shooter.

You're free to think at what you want really, nothing wrong with having your own opinion, and I've respected everyone in here who has more or less stated their opinion is that Proving Grounds isn't good even if they don't want to recognize it's heavily in development still and a beta.

But when you start flaunting around other game titles, commercial game titles at that (which people have to go and pay for, unlike this game will ever be), there's a fair level of ignorance to that. It's like someone walking into wherever you work and telling people "Hey, 'X competitor' across the street is better, even though they cost more!", even though the people in your place probably already know better and are there because they like your place more.

Call it whatever you want, the game is hardly mainstream and it's hardly finished, rather than kinda be ignorant about it in how you 'feel' on it's future, why don't you actually wait and see what it's future will be. If people don't like it, I'm sure they know how to find other games themselves, mean while there are plenty of us who do like it, and doing stuff like this is kinda insulting to us :P

And just to correct you on things since you were so intent on others viewing that game, as far as I can tell it's not "Insurgency 2", it's just "Insurgency" (so sayeth the steam page name anyways), and it is also, itself, now in Beta, not Alpha (states so directly on their own steam page, and seems to have for quite a while), and while they have some stuff we do not, judging by the discussions going on in that game's forum, we have many things they do not.

So basically again, you're asking people to go pay for a game, that's also a beta, missing some features we have while admittedly having some we don't have, but also seems to lack a lot of players based on what's being discussed (something we definitely do not at the moment :P).

Seems like, out of respect at least, ya' coulda' thought your original post through a bit more. Just my opinion >.>

When a game is good i pay for it. But americas army 2 was free too but much more better then
Proving grounds.
And i thought the games from the army are only realistic tactic shooter,but Proving Grounds (PG) was only mainstream.You can ask many AA2 players too,they think the same.And only say its beta or free its idiotic,sry. No doors in a tactic shooter? No leaning? That is standard!!!!

For a beta its ok when the game have many bugs,less maps ect. But no leaning and doors...lol!!!!!

But many games go mainstream and they must playable for the kiddies. Strategic games too. Siedler,rainbow six,age of empires,jagged alliance and many more!

Perhaps PG become some patches,but i dont think it will be great like AA2. AA§ was good too,but unfinished.They have better finished AA3 before they relase such a bad game with bad grafic too.

Ok,lets stop this here,but fact is that many many players think the same and some aa2 and aa3 players have reinstall PG!

You can say what you want,but PG have not the real AA2 or AA3 feeling.

I bought me insurgency 2,this game have clan support ,many customable weapons,much more better tactical options,great tactical map ect ect.

But thats the problem with all the fanboys.....is a game really bad they say its good.

Ok,have fun with PG,but for me its too simple,fast and mainstream.

PS: Project Reality is a free mod for bf2 and much more better then PG too.

the topic is fine.

i enjoyed insurgency 1. it was a free mod if you owned css/hl2. it reminded me of the old aao/aa2. though it had its issues with spawn camping on some maps and low population.

i haven't bought insurgency 2 but i was excited to.... until i saw a preview where it looked like a poor choice of a game mode (both teams must rush out and hold the center of the map while snipers pin the other team down and the enemy pushes your spawn from both sides... and the likelyhood of the middle switching ownership was pretty slim. it reminded me of the center objective of bf3's metro map. a meat grinder.

still, i hope to hear more about it. more game modes? i might just buy it to support the devs because i enjoyed the first one for free.

Yes that was the reason why i have waight with the buying.The first gameplay videos look likes a kiddie-rusher game,but the game will be better and better.I saw newer vedeos on youtube and there you can see its better.
The map remember me at the first ghost recon games (not the poor new future soldiers).You have with this map great tactcal options,you can see it somwhere in the youtube video.

But the problem with many shhoter-videos is,when kiddies make a youtube video,you think the game is ♥♥♥♥ because their poor action-rusher gameplay.

But i think insurgency 2 will be great,this alpha is much more better such some fullprize games.

But america´s army is go to mainstream,many "fanboys"dont think so. Aks many america´s army 2 veterans,the most say the same:its horrible.

I search for a long time for a great tactical shooter,but its very difficult to find one. All kiddies want action and good grafic and fast gasmeplay,but they dont want use their brain 8Or cant).

So i play red orchestra 2,but i am not a fan from WW2 and on most server there was only games with many bots.

Inszrgency 2 have all what a tactical game must have:customable weapons,very good map,many weapons to choose,no idiots ranks and locked weapons,very great map design......


I am now very happy with this game,hope more player will buy it!

dreamzz,you are a joke! the first gameplavideos were ♥♥♥♥,thats true,but in this status its very great.it has a tactcal map too.And the weapons in america´s army are very poor. The reddot and the red arrow in the scopes are too small,the gameplay is too fast.Ask all the america´s 2 veterans,they say the same (perhaps some will play aa4 too).

But the most think the same,aa4 is not a "real" aa,the gameplay go to mainstream!
And before you speak about the game insurgeny 2,play it or shut up.
The game have a very great map design,the combat feeling is realistic.Ok,when some kiddies make a youtube video and play their rusher style i hate it too.

And for me not so important: the grafik is much more better then in america´s army AND insurgency 2 have a "real" antialiasing and not only such a ♥♥♥♥ FXAA aliasing(hope you know what FXAA is).
In every point Insurgency 2 is better,only some fanboys think america´s army is a good tactical shooter like the very great anerica´s army 2.
