What the... Punkbuster?

I have been getting a MULTIHACK violation message since September 5th, 2018. I have reinstalled the game, reinstalled Punkbuster and still keep getting this message. I don't know why I keep getting this error on servers, I'm not hacking or cheating. I only started getting this message a week after reinstalling Windows 10 after it crashed. I haven't been able to join any server since I started getting this message. As a test I created a new account and got the same message. I only have a few programs installed on my computer since reinstalling Windows (Antivirus, MS Office, Photoshop, and a few games) so it's a clean system.

I have been checking PB Ban list every day to see if I'm listed and I didn't find it until today. I made an appeal but from everything I've been reading, it's not likely I'll be unbanned. Does that mean I'll never get to play the game again because of a false positive?

I'm sure through investigation, a admin can make a sound decision on whether or not your really hacking or not, and if it's a software issue. You did the right thing, only thing to do now is wait.

Though, I doubt that PB is wrong. If you get a message with Multihack it found a process running that should not have been running and it triggerd the violation..

PBBans will not remove the ban if they're not instructed too by EvenBalance.

You are also Banned on ACI btw.

It sure would be nice if Punkbuster would help those that submit an appeal for a ban. I have no idea why I have a ban and/or how to fix it. Even if I reinstall Windows again and started from scratch, Punkbuster or Evenbalance or whoever has a ban on my account still doesn't provide any assistance.

I originally started getting blocked on September 5th but realized I was banned on the 8th. I submitted an appeal on the 8th, a week later and they still haven't responded.

So, basically I have an unknown reason why I'm banned and can't get any help from those that banned me. I sure am glad this was a free game and not a game I purchased.

what... your software didn't tell you that you most likely could be banned while using it? They must have removed that disclaimer upon purchase. (SMH)

Evenbalance finally responded with a stock message stating they will not restore my account, thanks for nothing.

All my software is legit, no illegal software on my machine.

Basically, Punkbuster gave a false positive and I'm banned and can never play the game again, 245hrs down the drain.

First of all don't cry, its a free game.. And if PunkBuster will not remove the ban, it means you hacked.. You can deny it over and over, the fact is they see what program triggerd the violations.. They can see what software/programs you run, and If it was not a cheat related program they would have helped you and unbanned you..

All I'm doing is posting a complaint about being banned for just trying to join a server. I've been playing for 8 months with no problems and one day I join and get banned for something I didn't do. I've been gaming online for 20yrs, I'm not some teen idiot that cheats. I play legit as I expect everyone else to. Again, I'm just glad I didn't purchase a game with Punkbuster and get banned else I would be mad. The only thing upsetting is I had gotten to know some players I enjoyed gaming with.

I don't have to accuse you, EvenBalance did that for me already. Else they would have unbanned you and told you there was a mistake, but not in your case because they saw what triggerd the violation. And we can't help you with it, only EvenBalance can do that.
