[Fixed] DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error.

I purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops II yesterday and I let it download over night. This morning when I tried launching the game I was greeted with an error stating "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions." I have tried dozens of methods such as

• Installing DirectX 9
  
• Installing latest DirectX
  
• Manually installing automatic installation files. (dxsetup.exe and vcredist_x86)
  
• Updating Video drivers.
  
• Windows + P
  
• Uninstalling the game and reinstalling.
  
• Verifing GCF
  
• Disabling any and all backround programs. (Including Anti-Virus)
  
• Checking dxdiag for any errors

I am running out of methods to try and I want to start playing this game as soon as possible. Any methods that worked for anybody who had a similar problem?

My specs if needed:
Graphics: AMD Raedon HD 6770 512MB
Processor: Quad Core i5 (2.7GHz)
Memory: 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Fix that worked for me - Updated my driver to latest version rather than the version I had before.

16 gb ram
Come on now better not here... Dose PC meet the spec of the game...

Yours specs appear as though it can handle the game but I think this issue does not have anything to do with our system specs but rather our directx or our graphics driver for our video card. I was able to run Modern Warfare 3 flawlessly on its free weekend so I have no idea what happened with Black Ops 2.

Try downloading all Windows updates, someone was having this problem on another forum and getting SP2 and all updates for Vista solved it. If that doesn't work try disabling secondary monitors.

I still have the same problem as well and tried all of the above. The only thing I can do to get it to work is disable 1 of my gpus in my nvidia 590. I don't like that fix but I can play the game in a less than ideal manner. If your running any kind of multi-gpu or sli I suspect that is one of the problems.

Go to the website of your graphics card provider.

MW3 is only a DX9 game
BO2 uses DX11

You need a DX11 graphics card and one of the newer operating systems that supports DX11 like Win Vista, 7 or 8. Then make sure everything is up to date.

I already fixed the issue but this may be useful to somebody else.

So I found some kind of fix, and i think the problem is windows 10 when u click win + p and the deuflt is PC Screen only and the game doesent work but when i put duplicate screen and start the game it works, and the funny part is when i leave the game and use again win + p its set back to PC Screen only. So i hope i helpd you guys :D
