Please help - Menu text not visible

Installed on my PC a couple of days ago. Install went fine. Start game up, all good - intro movie runs fine. Then when i get to the menu - the text can't be seen! So, basically i am navigating blind. Managed to randomly navigate into a game... and it runs fine too. Except i can't go into the options and adjust my control settings.

please help - have been waiting months for this game (and had even organized a few days off work to enjoy it)

right click game in library - verify files - if still having issues, consider reinstalling - sorry you are having to go through this on your time off - hope you are able to enjoy some time, if not with black flops, perhaps with another game.

have verified my cache a bunch of times.
game seems to be otherwise running fine - so i didn;t think re-installing would do much. (i've seen some other threads with people with the same problem, and they tried re-installing with no success. has been no activity on those threads in days.
