Crashing on startup.

So just as the title says, Black Ops 2 crashes on startup. Singleplayer, multiplayer, and zombies all crash immediatly after I launch from Steam. Since this is the single player discussion thread, here is the report that comes with the message.

same with me too i cant even get to the main menu. The game is bugged. Many of us have computers that would run the game perfectly on high settings. But the game needs to be patched

So I figured out that I actually did not have Vista SP 2 installed so therefore Directx 11 was not installed. I ran the DXSetup application that comes with Black Ops 2 in its folder, however I am still at directx 10. Anyone know where I can download directx11?

What processor are using ?? If its a 6 or 8 core ? I have read that most of the people having problems are using these Processors. I am running a Intell Core I 7 920 with no Problems.

Post full system specs. OS/GPU/CPU

Also do you have a secondary audio card. Those can cause isses and you should disable it.

Same here. Got great specs and I've been through this with Activision Support. Apparently the last update was supposed to fix the problem that lots of laptops were having with starting-up Black Ops 2. But obviously that's not the case.

will there be an update or a patch that will fix all this without changing any settings on our computers? because i've been trying to get this game to run this whole weekend with no luck. very frustrating and close to giving up. im just going to wait it out and hopefully one day that update will allow everyone with issues to play, heh

Same issue and dumbasses like Stormshadow above are really infuriating. Buy a new computer? I assure you what I have could probably out process your entire ♥♥♥♥-hole village's output. Seriously, GTFO if you can't be constructive. Anybody manage to find a decent solution to this yet?

lol i am runing windows Vista SP 2 ,With bata Nvida video drivers ,And bate ATI (AMD) catalyst drivers ,my rig is MSI 970A-G46 8gigs DDR3 1333 MHz , AMD FX 6300 6 core,NVIDA single card,,,,650 TiBoost 2 Gig gddr5 ,all windows and motherboard drivers up to date ,,,,,,it stops i can not play the game or any of the f games on steam ,Black ops ,black ops 2,MW2,MW3, you name it i can not load any of them i even delete and reinstalled steam on my pc ,os three times and nothing ,it will only play on windows 7 ,althow it says it can play on Vista SP2

check for bios update , had same problem, i found update that was not listed and fixed problem.
