Cutscene Quality

Is it just me, or are the cutscenes FAR worse quality than the game engine-rendered graphics? For example, looking at a characters' face during a mission, it looks way more realistic than the cutscenes between Woods, Mason, Briggs, etc.

I can't be the only person who's noticed this, surely?

No, you're right, the cutscene resolution is way lower than in game. Wolfenstein 09 was the same way.

Cutscenes are rendered in 720p resolution for the consoles. They are essentially movie files so they don't upscale like the game engine does to your set resolution. You can't really blame the game developers since this game is essentially going to be on 3 consoles vs the pc platform that isn't quite as popular with the series. For as much as this game makes profit wise they sure could render cutscenes in 1080p for the PC at least even if it costs a bit more development budget.

Or they could've just had the game's engine render the cutscenes rather than have them pre-rendered. I don't think it's fair that those of us with decent systems should be penalized just because a couple of inferior platforms have access to the game as well.
