STRIKE FORCE MISSIONS SUCK
Anyone else thinks they shoud have left out strike force missioins and instead add normal campaign level missions. The AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and useless... so annoying. Its unplayable. Its almost like playing unreal tournamnet...but worse a lot worse.

nah, I think it's a fresh approach. yea the AIs suck, but I usually just send them to the strategic point and take control from there, going back and forth from squad to squad. Guess that's what Treyach intended? Instead of it just being played like RTS.

I think it's cool that they tried something new within the game but, yeah, the ai is ridiculous. I try moving my troops around and no matter where I tell them to go they always end up shooting at walls or getting wiped out.

I like the strike force missions and dont have much problems with the ai.. it just takes a little getting used to with how to use them right.

What happens if you dont do the missions because you run out of units and the missions are only available for a couple of campaign mission rounds? Does it affect you progress in any way or the ending of the game?

those missions should be totally separate from the campain. i want to try to do them, but its impossible to do it on hardened since the AI blows so bad. and i dont want to turn the difficulty down, because then the rest of it will be too easy.

saying 'strike force sucks' i dont really 100% agree. it just needs to be a separate minigame. im sure it just takes a little practice and getting used to. although if i wanted a rts i wouldnt buy the cod version.
Doomhammer 26 listopada 2012 o 18:50
They suck. The friendly AI in COD games has been notorious for long time and now they build a minigame based on it.
What's worse, neither can you lower difficulty, nor can you retry them.
Whoever designed these have serious metal issues.

A franchise in trouble designed them. One that was critically attacked in MW3 for it's lack of innovation. This, is their answer. Love it or leave it, it just isn't the CoD that we used to know.

This is what happens when the creators of the CoD franchise quit/get fired. More and more watered down titles and desperate attempts to convince the sheepish public that the IP is still alive and worth spending your pesos/yen on.

i didn't mind them. they were something different and i felt a sense of accomplishment when i completed one of the missions with my last remaining strike force team

at least there were only a few of them

Yes it does suck. hate it.

The Strike Force missions are terrible. I would rather shoot my way through more corridors than deal with these. Not to mention that my framerate drops horribly on PC in these parts. Shooting down the air drones while a walker drone and his 5 buddies try to gangkill you is hard enough, let alone doing it for 10 min or however long with endless reinforcements coming at you. My AI reinforcements would generally get killed the moment their boots hit the ground. And that was only the first strike mission lol. Can't wait for the rest!

To clarify, I wouldnt mind them if I knew they werent having an important role in the story and every fail means I have changed the story and now cannot see the ending I wanted b/c i cant redo the mission.

Good concept, poor execution. The friendly AI is terrible. It's just nothing but frustrating filler in it's current form. Treyarch needs to hire better programmers.

I like them and would like to have seen even more of them. But I have to say, the first one is rather weak and so is the third. The second and fourth however are quite good, especially the second. And the bonus-mission "Second Chance"... also not a bad one.
The only real issue for me were the controls, to be honest.
Zenith 25 lutego 2013 o 13:36
Not really a fan of them at all. In fact, I wanted to avoid them after the first mission, but they are unfortunately fairly critical to the story outcome. In the end, I just left the squad(s) in a corner, and went rambo on my own, because mico-management is not something I expect to find in a shooter like this.

i can't pass the strike force mission at recurit level, it is very confusing. my team keep dying. i don't know what to do. enemies troop just over run everything. my troop spawn very slow
