The call of duty: black ops 2 server is not avaliable at this time. Please try again later or visit httl://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/status for updates
I cant play zombies or multiplayer because of this. I have singleplayer, multiplayer and zombies downloaded at the moment. I have downloaded zombies and multiplayer first and when i got the error i downloaded the singleplayer. I then redownloaded zombies and multiplayer and that didn't work. I have tried running steam as administrator and both zombies and multiplayer.
It says getting data from steam servers for about 1 minute then displays the error. The call of duty:black ops 2 server is not avaliable at this time. Please try again later or visit

Windows 7 64 bit was also recently installed as well but im not sure if i need to get new drivers since the IT guy reinstalled it for me.
any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Networking issue on your end:

1. Verify game cache for Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Zombies.
2. Perform port forwarding on your router: {LINK REMOVED}
3. Disable all antivirus programs.
4. Give black ops 2 full permission to access the net in your firewall(s).
5. Do not use wifi, use a physical cable connection between your router and computer.
6. If these steps don't help post your full system specs here include results from {LINK REMOVED}.

I'm thinking its the Netbox Laptop Protector on my laptop which maybe causing it as it blocks a couple of sites although the call of duty website isnt. When i try to port forward its blocked. I'm downloading it on my secondary laptop to see if that works.

My friend and myself were able to play last weekend with no issues, but after I downloaded the DLC this morning I was not able to access the servers, I can still play singler player and such, just not multiplayer. This happened after the last DLC as well but corrected itelf after a two week period. the code I get is Muliplayer error code (53)
