When i load black ops 2, I get this error in console (fonts/720/consolefont) and game crashes, how can i fix that? The game crash and don't let me do anything, even i have to use the Task Manager of Windows to close the program.

Next time don't buy from shady cd-key shops that sell you polish/russian games so you can save a few bucks.

The only other way that this can happen is if you have the language of Multiplayer or Zombies set to something other than what the Singleplayer version is set to. If you DIDN'T try to play Russian or Polish in English and you're still seeing this error, it means that you need to check the language of each of the three game executables to make sure they're all set to the same thing.

I chek this and you are right, i don't notice that the Zombies are on Spanish and the Single and Multiplayer are on English. I gonna download the correct lenguage and i comment if works. Thankz.

There you go. Just make sure that all three are set to the same thing. If you're playing in Spanish/English then I don't think it matters which one you're set to, but all three need to be set to the same thing or it won't work.

Thank you, i'm from Venezuela and it's easier play in Spanish, but i love the original lenguages xD

I'll have to remember that next time then. Most people with that erro are trying to change it from polish/russian to English. My bad.

Maybe because the most people with this problems buy this game in a Russians or Polish sotre.

Follow the steps:
1)Delete the game from Steam.
2)Delete the folder "Call of Duty Black Ops 2 " from Steam/steamapps/common for delete all crashed files.
3)Download game again.

This steps helped me with this problem.

For those that will come here looking for a fix.

I have a boxed version purchased at the release sitting next to me. It has only one language on it, therefore the language cannot be changed anywhere as you would normally (No idea why that is).

So what I did is, download a cracked version in my desired language and copied the following things from it:

In ../main

localized_English_iw00
localized_English_iw01
...
localized_English_iw14

In ../player

Opened a config file and changed lines 343 and 344:

seta loc_forceEnglish "0"
seta loc_language "x"
(x being the language You have installed which is above 0 as that is I assume the English language)

to

seta loc_forceEnglish "1" // (not sure if necessary but for good measure)
seta loc_language "0"

In ../zone

I swapped the entire language pack to English.

And finally:

In the main directory I changed localization.txt file entirely to the English one. (Not sure if necessary but for good measure)

That avoided the error and launched the game.

You might want to do it while Steam is closed

I would like to add that you need to make sure the language in the game properties on Steam is the same as the igame. I purchased a Polish key and when I tried to install it again on my new computer Steam set the game localization to English because that's my default. The reason it doesn't work is that the font used in the original isn't availible for Polish.
