lost savegame in campaign !
I have lost some progress in single player, and have to play the levels again. I dont know what caused the issue. is there any way I can skip the levels, or paste another savegame file in the save game folder. is it safe?

Somewhere in the game install folder in Steam\steamapps\common is a folder called "players" that should have your savegame file in it somewhere. Copying a save game ought to work, but it might be safer to copy the entire folder. As far as I know this doesn't cause any issues, I've done it a couple of times.

but i dont have the save game. Can I download the save game and put it in the folder. will it not be counted as modification of game , hence chances of Ban from steam.

I don't know where you could get a save game from, so I can't really help you with that (maybe ask one of your friends to post it for DL on dropbox or something?). I don't really think there's any way you could get in trouble for it, since you're just putting files that the game would generate anyway into a certain folder. It doesn't change the way the game behaves or modify the executable in any way, and it's not like you'll get achievements you didn't earn, they're just save game files. There's no way of being sure that you didn't generate them yourself and back them up and then drop them back into the folder.
