Season Pass Edition does not include the game?
So.. I bought Season Pass Edition.. It turned out that it's ONLY maps? Not the game? Well, that's nice, since I got no money left to spend on the actual game, so now I got maps for a game I don't even have? It just says I need to have the full game "Black Ops II - Zombies" if I want to install it. I tried Bo2 on the free week, that's why I have multiplayer already.

Why does a ma p pack even cost more than the actual game.. And my intention was NOT to spend 50€ on a map pack, I would never waste that amount for something that useless.

Sent a ticket to support, hope they can switch my map pack for the actual game + zombies..

There is no "Season Pass Edition". The Season Pass is exactly what it says in its description: The four upcoming DLCs plus the map Nuketown Zombies. It also states that you need Black Ops 2 itself.

Next time, READ what you gonna buy.

I only read the "intro" of it, where it says that it includes the maps and an exclude playercard. Well, of course I thought it would include the game too, since it didn't say anything on that part, which it should in my opinion. It shouldn't require you to read the 'more information' part to know something that important.
Acutally yes, it is requires.
And even if you didn't read it, the fact that the Season Pass with MORE content costs LESS than the base came should've been a dead giveaway that this is NOT the game you're buying. Not only that but a Season Pass never contains the actual game. That's shouldn't be a surprise when it always been this case.

Edit: I made a screenshot[www.abload.de] and even drew a giant, red circle around the thing that should have told that this is not a game.

On the store page for the Season Pass it says "Requires the base game Call of Duty®: Black Ops II on Steam in order to play." right below the picture on the right, at the top of the page. It also says this again, highlighted in a purple box, right above the "buy" button.

It sucks that you just blew your money on this and now have to buy the base game if you want to be able to play what you just bought, but there was text on the page you had to go to in order to purchase this that warned you about what you were about to do. In two different places.

It would have been nice if Steam prohibited you from purchasing DLC content for a game you don't actually have. Still, Caveat emptor.

He can still send a ticket to the support to revert the purchase. In this case, it would work.

The thing is, I got this thing as a gift, but didn't feel like saying it in my post, since didn't feel like it's necessary. The gifter said that he didn't see any kind of notifications that it requires the game, so he bought that one. The item is still in my inventory, so if anyone wants to be nice and switch Season Pass for the base game, I'm up to do it.

I tried sending them a ticket, asking if I could either revert the purchase or switch my Season Pass for the base game, and they said that they can only give me 50€ from the Season Pass, when I buy the game for 60€.. I would do it, if I could take the 50€ away from steam, since then I would only pay 10€, but as far as I know, it isn't possible to take away money from steam, sadly.

So basically I would need to put 60€ on Steam, buy Bo2, after that get 50€ on my Steam account, which I do not want.
First, if it is in your inventory, you can actually trade it and have no need to buy the actual game. I personally am not interested in it as I have no interested in the Season Pass (I only want to buy DLCs expanding Zombies and I already got Nuketown Zombies due buying the Digital Deluxe Edition). I would suggest to head to the Steam Trading Forums and make a threat there.
And should the Season Pass get turned into cash, you can just add 10€ into your Steam Wallet (where your 50€ will end up) and then purchase the base game for 60€. GameStop offers even cards with various values, which you can buy and then use the key on that card to add that value onto your Steam Wallet.

So, there are a lot of easy ways for you to get the base game.

Still, as I showed in the screenshot above, the Store Page clearly shows that the Season Pass is DLC and does not include the base game.

For some reason, it won't let me create a thread on the Steam trading forums, eventhough I clicked the e-mail link, linked my forum account to my steam account and did all the things it said which may be wrong.
It takes a bit to verify your account. A day, top.

how do you access the maps. I have the base game which I think is great, then I bought the season pass and I guess the maps are there but how do I access them?
