Is black ops 2 good on pc?
I have played all cod on the 360... but now that i build my first rig , in reality i barely use my 360 ever since...pc just amazing, in now with the rumors of next gen consoles, i want to pause playing on the 360 and spent more time play/buy games for pc.My concern is that i know that cod main focus is on consoles and that the pc gets the worst edition based on no dedicate servers..etc. So please help cuz i realy dont want to spent $60 for the game and 50-60 more to renew my xbox live for only one game .. my rig.. i5 2500k quad-core(not yet overclock),gtx 560 ti,ripjaws 16g ram,

The PC is almost identical to 360 for this game.

The major advantages are there are dedicated servers for the ranked matches on PC, the game looks a lot nicer if you can run the higher settings and you can do custom bindings and controls. Oh and don't forget keyboard and mouse.

The only PC disadvantage that I've seen is that the playerbase is smaller at about 40k peak hours. But this is enough to find a game with decent ping of any mode so really it isn't something you would notice.

Make sure to grab newest drivers for that GPU and hf.

Spot on. BlOps 2 is just fine on the PC.

BTW: Welcome to the wonderful world of PC gaming! You'll never look back. :)

well considering this game gives you the option to use your prefered input method, (Controller, kb+m), and that it gives you the option to boost the graphic quality. I'd say (THIS GAME) is better on pc. However there are some marketing things that the developers/partners involved will not allow in order to make sure consoles sell. Split screen is a big one. The ability to play locally on the same tv with a freind/family member has been denied in most pc ports. And while it's not as huge as an issue in this game, at least not for me anyway, Cheaters tend to be a lot more abundent on pc. PC games could be so much better with the next gen. gpu(s) and game engines but developers are sticking to the out of date hardware of the console because they can put out products and make money faster.

How many people play zombies? I want to make sure I don't get this for my PC rather than PS3 and find out nobody plays zombies and stuff. I will be very thankful for a reply.

You'll have no problem finding a game in tranzit on bus depot. Any other map/mode could take a good minute or not at all.

And, then an earlier comment says there are around 40,000 players at peak times, but whenever I look at the number in game it is around 1,600 to 1,900. Is that only for people that bought it on Steam, and the 40,000 is overall (no matter if you bought it from Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, etc.)?

no matter who you buy it from, if it's on the pc it's on steam. There is no alternitive client for this game. When you look at the ingame you have to look at it for each community hub. This one just shows the people playing the campaign. There's one for multiplayer and zombies as well.

I, like many gamers, have given up on this dying franchise.

It is a port... expect a game from 6-8 years ago with the exception that Activision is only after your money with the obligatory yearly release. Pros are: You get to pretend you are in the future although your weaponry is current-gen (ableit with quasi-future attachments).

Well GL jrbe_10, take everything you read here with a grain of salt, most posters are here because they had a problem with the game and are angry. This place is not indicative of the overall community, like only reading 1 star reviews on Amazon for a product. It is definitely an important thing to do but should only be one part of your research.
