No text in menus and in-game, and no sound

When I launch the game (singleplayer, multiplayer or zombiemode) there is no text in the menus and in-game. There is also no sound. I have reinstalled the game, updated graphics, chipset and audio drivers.

Anyone?

Go to Black Ops 2, than right klick, go to properties, than you go to lokal datas, and game files to check for error^^

There was an issue like this caused by upgrading to win 8. Fix pasted below.

This is for users who had upgraded to Windows 8. Unfortunately after the upgrade, Windows kept all your files in a folder called Windows.old . The Steam Client would be in that folder. Some programs still worked but BO2 didn't. If you installed BO2 after the Windows 8 upgrade, it automatically installed it in the Windows.old folder.

Uninstall the Steam Client and all the programs associated with it. (MW2, MW3, BO, BO2 or whatever games you have with it.) Make sure your go back to the windows.old folder to make sure it has all been deleted.

Reinstall Steam but (and this is important) make sure it is installed under your C:/Program Files/Steam and not back into windows.old. You may have to manually type in the correct destination because it will automatically install back to your previous folder.

I had the sound problem as well, and i just went into the options menu and hit reset in the sound section and it worked fine after that, not sure about the others though

Do you mean the options meny in the game itself? The problem is that I don't see any text lines at all in the in-game menu
