MP Launch impossible: ERROR: sound bank failed to load cmn_root.english

Hi there, I have trouble starting my BO2 in Multiplayer mode. There's always an error message telling me this: sound bank failed to load cmn_root.english

What is this all about and how can I fix this problem? It's kind of sad because I have bought this Game today and couldn't even start it. It's disappointing..
I have already verified the game cache files and restarted steam. I even reinstalled the game but after all, everytime I start the Game in different Modes (SP,MP,Zombie) this error message appears. It also seems to be a common and known problem of some players but I haven't found a solution so far. I need a fix for this.. fast please.

ich habe folgendes Problem welches auftritt wenn ich BO2 starte: ERROR: sound bank failed to load cmn_root.english
Weiß jemand ganz genau worum es da geht und wie man dieses Problem beheben kann? Ich bin ganz schön enttäuscht da ich mir das Spiel erst heute gekauft habe und es nicht mal starten kann. Habe auch schon die Option Verifying Game Cache Files in anspruch genommen, Steam neugestartet und das Spiel sogar komplett neu installiert. Alles ohne Erfolg. Die Meldung erscheint leider immer noch, ganz egal ob Single- oder Multiplayer oder Zombie Mod. Kennt jemand eine Lösung? Das Problem haben scheinbar mehrere aber habe bis jetzt keine Lösung finden können... Brauche dringend Hilfe!!

This is because you bought BO2 from a shady cd-key shop that gave you the Polish version.

The Polish/Russian versions ONLY HAVE Polish/Russian.

THIS IS NOT A BUG

It will NOT be fixed.

Next time purchase from an authorized retailer

I have bought it from a well known retailer here in germany. I have the german boxed version and there were many en masse. So please give some useful answers. Although I have fixed the issue already on my own. In case someone gets the same problem, just delete the local game content (SP,MP,ZM) and reinstall all files. Don't start the game. Edit the gamelanguage to english or your favourite one, let steam download the files. After download, exit Steam and restart it. Start your game and let it install. It should work. It works for me after all..

The error sounds like the 'polish' error thing though. Try changing your language to polish or Russian and see if that fixes the 'problem'

If it does, go back to the retailer because they sold you a Polish copy of the game! Which if you're in Germany you should not have been sold.

Hacking the language like that may 'break' the game in future updates though so I'm not sure you want to stick with that.

Assuming you did not purchase a cheap Polish copy, ensure all the languages for ALL the modes ar the same.

mine says'' failed to load sound bank cmn_root.all'' I buy directly from steam, my account is in Spanish but when I play I give this error jumps'm trying with everything but nothing works, please help

Hallo, ist ja schon etwas her. Kann jetzt auch nur das wiedergeben was ich da oben geschrieben habe. Scheinbar hat folgendes funktioniert:
Spiel deinstallieren und danach den Ordner Black Ops 2 unter ../steam/steamapps/common
löschen. Spiel erneut runterladen aber nach der Installation nicht starten. Rechtsklick auf das Black Ops 2 Icon, Eigenschaften->Sprache. Spiel auf gewünschte Sprache ändern, (war in meinem Fall Englisch) Steam lädt jetzt die neuen Daten runter. Steam danach Neustarten und das Spiel starten. Beim ersten Start sollte es korrekt installiert werden. So konnte ich das Problem früher scheinbar beheben.

Hi, danke für deine Antwort :). Habs grad versucht. Mit Black ops 2 icon meinst du das icon womit man das Spiel startet? Unter eigenschaften findet sich kein Reiter Sprache bei mir :(

Hallo,
ich meine das Icon im Steamfenster und nicht auf dem Desktop. Wenn du da einen Rechtsklick drauf machst, müsste man unter Eigenschaften den Reiter mit der Sprachauswahl finden. Das siehst du aber nur im Steam Kompaktmodus bzw. Small mode. Wenn du bei Steam oben links auf deine Bibliothek klickst, machst du einen Rechtsklick den Titel Black Ops 2. Ist das Gleiche.

Das hab ich auch schon probiert. Bei mir gibt es keinen Reiter Sprache den ich verändern könnte. Früher hab ichs schonmal geschafft mit verschiedenen language patches usw. aber heut krieg ichs irgendwie nicht hin

I need assistance, exact same issue. No language tab after clicking properties, only 'General | Updates | Local Files | Beta | DLC'. ;-;
