xbox controller remapping

just wanted to know if there is any way to remap controller buttons in game or will i have to stay with the default settings ? im using a ps3 controller but my pc regognizes it as an xbox controller , and the L2 and R2 buttons are ADS and Fire , rather than L1 and R1 i just want to chang them around . thanks

This bugs me, too. I tried editing the binding config files manually, even set them to read-only afterwards, and it still ignores them and uses its own config, not the changes I made. I haven't found any other way around it yet. Really wish they'd just leave it open to the user to set as they like.

These look related, but there's no known solution. Why would they encrypt something as basic as settings files?
