Skip strike force missions?

OK, so I got this game in my local Gamestop at the bargain price of €19.99 the other day. (He he, not bad, ay?) Anyway, I'm playing through the singleplayer campaign and I'm enjoying it for the first three levels. Then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the game departs from the classic CoD style and I find myself thrown into what seems like a completely different game - like some sort of bad Ghost Recon Future Soldier clone. At first, I thought it was just the next level of the story and that the game had just taken a serious turn for the worse, but it was only after googling various walkthroughs that I found out that this was the first of the 'strike force' missions - a kind of side mission that doesn't have much to do with the main story. I hate it, this 'strike force' mission. It seems complex and tedious, and after doing the tutorial twice, I still haven't got the hang of the controls. Can I skip these missions and continue the story? They're a real game-breaker for me.

OK, so winning or losing them affects the plot of the game. Hmmm! I don't care, I just wanna skip them. How do I do that?

dont select them when you are picking your next mission...
