I did everything right, and yet I got bad ending. Why?

I saved all the people that was mandatory to save. I saved Karma, killed Harper to keep Farid alive, only killed Briggs because appearently he was optional, did all the Strike Force missions, and even choose to arrest Menendez in the end instead of killing him.

And yet I just got the *very* same ending I got last time: Menendez escapes, kills Woods and commits suicide before Josefina's tomb..

Is this a bug? Did I miss something? I also killed Mason, but only because I thought it'd fit the plot better. Did that ruin good ending in the end?

Honestly, I think I'll just watch the alternative endings on Youtube. I'm quite sick of replaying this one expecting different results.

You shouldn't have killed Briggs, he was needed for saving both the Obama and Karma.

Killing Briggs is actually exactly what screwed you over as The Obama now sinks due to it's systems being down, which includes Chloe who now dies aboard it, preventing her from stopping Menendez later.

Oh crap. And there I tried something 'different' since, according to a walkthrough I was following, killing or sparing Briggs didn't affect the final outcome.

Well, thanks for telling me. I'll know that for my next try.
