Multiplayer grayed out

I cannot access multiplayer, this happened after I installed the L4D Mod and played it in singleplayer. Basically the multiplayer option became grayed out and after disabling the mod, deleting the mod, restarting the game, verifying files, and finally uninstalling and reinstalling the game have not fixed it. Why is this happening??

bro, I have the same thing, I just press the multiplayer button and it doesn't work

i got a few thing you can try, i had this error arround the time this blog started, try changing the servers region, might be a bug related to that, try checking for updates, sometimes steam dosent let u update untill after a whille, try to contact the discord staff, they might know why, and lastly, just stop playing for a week or so, if i remember right, that doing the server change plus stop playing saved me from this last time
