@TheGreenGuy
Is it possible to access the game's images like the traits'?
I'm displaying the texts now, the tool is just for my personal use so it doesn't need to look so sexy :-).
Thank you!
please, what are the default value ranges for each stat of each class, i.e. for warrior for the STR stat. This value is not fixed unlike the growth value, as it differs for each character. I mean the base value for a stat at character creation. I suppose it's set from a range specific for each class.
Thank you
As for talent stars, what are the chance to get 1, 2 or even more, if it is possible? I haven't seen one with more than 2 stars.
Thanks again
- AFAIK BASE attribute start range is 3-7 (can be lower or higher only with traits granting + or -1). I do not think class has an impact on them.
- Beware as "Survivors" adv. have higher starting attributes (up to 9 I'd say, as well as a guaranteed Survivor trait).
- The 3 starting adv have fixed attributes as well as 1 scripted trait each (Healthy body, dubious upbringing and Bright)
- I once had a survivor with 3 talents, without the talented trait.
- Traits each have differents odds of appearing. AFAIK Talented and Mana core are rarer than the others.
Good luck
thanks,
as for the chance of traits to appear, I guess, you are right, as I see traits like oblivious being set rather often, the good ones seems to be more rare. I'd like to make the tool to generate a bit more balanced characters, a bit more control in the randomization process, without making them OP. I would then use the ingame scouting app to import the characters generated in my tool.
btw ... there are in total 58 traits in the game, which is a lot, if you then consider that some, the good ones, have even a less chance to appear, then you understand why bad traits are so pervasive.
Frankly, I don't understand why that is so: The player has the possibility to design characters via the scouting tool, he can even set the points pool in the init file, so one can create super OP characters. On the other hand, the default character generation makes getting acceptable good characters an extremely time consuming and frustrating chore.
