Also, how did you get a demon staff? I can craft Supreme staves and a Staff of nature, and there's the witch's staff and angel staff. I'm wondering if there's a secret room I've missed on a story mission.
As far as I've seen, the Staff of Nature is slightly better than the Witch's staff (same magic attack, but higher magical penetration), but the difference is small enough that I prefer my witch character to have a witch's staff.
The demonic staff is the one you get from a normal story mission (I think it's the one with the vampires, but don't quote me on that), that gives nice metamagic feats like Quick casting.
The witch's staff is the one you get from finally beating the witch herself, which has more of a physical focus and is thus somewhat wasted on what is likely to be a squishy caster who shouldn't be anywhere near the front lines.
Not so much to actively attack, but for the free counter-attacks it provides. This combined with the stacking damage reduction skills Bishop gets made her more suited to being close to the front lines.
In addition, it gives both magical attack, magical penetration, and healing potency. So all in all, it is much better suited to a Bishop or Saint than to a (High) Mage or a Witch.
But I soon after found much better staves. So it's still pretty much a gimmick.
Ah, sorry, That was because I put a gem on it. Forgot.
But you have a point on Selene, she does seem like she'd really fit that staff.
She is tiny, which means she gets a pretty big penalty to physical attacks and strength growth. As a bishop that's not a big deal, but as a paladin?
Doesn't sound like it would work out.
