What's the best sword and shield?
I read in the guide the priest gives you a legendary perfect sword and shield for paladins (have no idea its stats or why its perfect for them as I found the priest 3 times at most), but I'm looking for one for Swordmaster. Near as I can tell the best one for them is the scarlet one, but its a tier weaker, has eh stats and missing that 3rd gem slot. The alternatives AFAIK, is that paladin one I've never seen, which is apparently for paladins, and the winter one that has zero synergy with a sword master considering it would be his only ice ability, unless I want to put him in the cryo armor (why would I want to do that to a sword master?!?) which doesn't help anyway because its a defensive ability.
There is the demon one, but losing BP isn't something I want to do since I generally tend to run a little wild with my swordmaster and BP tends to get really low.

So...is there any I missed? There is only two legendary grade sword and shields in the game I guess, one is useless and the other is made for paladins?

I typically use the Demonic Shield because it gives the highest block (20) which converts to dodge on Sword Masters (and specifically on Very Hard every single bit of dodge matters). However, the passive is wasted and you do lose BP every turn. Having a Bard will counteract the BP loss and after level 20 I like to equip the Lion Crest so that I can cast Eternal Requiem frequently. You also do get 1 less physical attack than the legendary Sword & Shields.

There is pretty much no reason to use the "Rising Sun" Sword & Shield on Sword Master.
The "Rising Sun" (Paladin Sword & Shield) has the following stats:
  • 13 PAB
  • 15 Block
  • 15 Physical Penetration
  • 3 Gem Slots
  • 20% Holy Potency
  • 15 Dark Resistance
  • Bane of Evil: Increase damage of Smite Evil by 30%
As you can see, it's literally just worse than running Frostbite & Frostguard.

There is some argument to running Frostbite & Frostguard over the Demonic Shield if you really need that little bit of BP that you lose each turn. The once per rest ability Ice Age is also pretty good for crowd control purposes, but as it is once-per-rest I personally don't find it that useful.

I was kinda afraid this was the answer. Sword master is by and far my favorite class, but the weapon choices for it are really bad compared to the others. I can try the demon weapon, but I really do cut it pretty close with my BP, but the cost is at the end so I am unsure if its that bad. Does it collect the BP if you finish the map before your turn ends?

Also I guess that is my suggestion for the game :P We need better/more Sword and Shields, specifically for sword master. The early game ones you get are super good, but they fall off drastically in late game

Yes, it will still drain your BP if you finish killing the last enemy on your Sword Master's turn. You shouldn't be having any BP issues if you have a level 16 Bard. Each turn you can cast 2 songs to offset the BP drain, and every time you cast Song of Valor you gain some extra BP. This becomes even more evident at level 20 (if your bard is the party leader) since you'll be gaining several BP each turn. More if you're crazy and use the Elegant Lute accessory, but I find that to be overkill.
