Troll Hunt Mission Cauldron Event

Out of curiosity, is there actually any benefit to interacting with the cauldron in the Troll Hunt mission?

The only choices I've seen are to either push it over or leave it alone. If you push it over, your adventurer's lose some BP. Leaving it alone does nothing. I'm not sure if pushing it over affects anything afterwards.

I remember the text saying he starts eating his minions because he didn't have his meal, so I presume the number of goblins in the final battle is reduced. But I haven't compared the numbers to verify this.

Ah. That's probably what it is. I never usually notice the number of adds since I usually just kill the troll before anything else attacks.
