Are the % tips incorrect, im just super unlucky or its a glitch
Tooltip show 95% to hit, my mage misses ofc, i use BP to make a 2nd hit and that also misses. I hit the guy with my knight (sadly only 86% to hit), he misses too, I use BP and that misses again. All that in a single turn and against a common Bandit Thug who (as his stats panel show) has 0 block and 0 dodge ... also my guys are lvl 6 in an area for lvl 4-5.
Is there some hidden mechanic to count for and the tooltip showing 95% is just incorrect?

It's likely that you were just extremely unlucky. There is no hidden mechanic behind the rolls. You can always check in the log (button at the right side) to see what you've rolled. The roll needs to be lower than the hit chance to hit and there is no mechanic to prevent streaks.

However, there is a setting in the difficulty setting to remove the 95% and 5% hit chance caps. You just need to go the general settings and change your difficulty to custom and check the box for no hit chance cap. This way you can at least reach 100% hits.

Also a sidenote - some arenas are way too small. Like in one fight a lizard elite moved 1rst and reached to the other side to crit and kill one of my mage ... I had no chanse to save her. movement 5 + spear was enough to reach from one end to other.

5th round fighting zombies with 5 member team so its about 5x5=25 hits (even if priest heals) with 95% hit means 2 misses could be kinda ok but my mage has missed 2 times, ranger once, defender 2 times, priest once ... so in 5 turns 6 misses on 95% hit chance. Without my luck I wonder how I'm still alive at all.

PS. Nvm me and my rant. The game is great, I just suck at it.

Still in same quest, 4th fight, an ambush during camping so its a night fight. One of rangers (I have 2 rangers, mage, priest and defender) have missed all shots (81% hit chance cos of night) and its 5th turn. Mage has missed "only" two so far (she has 95% chance to hit cos of all accuracy trinkets).
So coming out of the camp ambush my team is in as bad shape as they went into comp. It took 6 rounds to kill 5 bandits ... and I'm over the recommended quest lvl.

You know, you can always spend 10 BPs to insure that an important attack connects 100% of the time, as opposed to spending 20-30 BPs for a second attack.

BPs are a resource. Hoarding it when it is needed is not a great idea.

Speaking for myself, in the late game's story missions, I use 10 BPs to bring the chance to 100% in more attacks than not.

I use it when my hit is 75% or so but to use it on 95% is kinda pointless .. anyways, it's my crap and kinda normal for me in every game. This game is great and I should just play a lower difficulty maybe.

I use it on a 95% chance if I NEED the attack to work.

My mage just super-charged a fireball with his empowerment staff and ring of fire penetration? Yeah, 5% or no, I'm not accepting that risk.

Boss is down to its last sliver of health and I have one more chance to kill it? I don't care what the percentage says, I get it to 100%.

But for normal attacks it's indeed not worth it.
