So I'm still pretty early on in my playthrough, while with the option to Scout adventurers I feel a bit pressed to min/max (very hard ironman + OCD), but I'm working with quite imperfect information due to the lack of info outside the game.

So for starters I'd like some recommendations of good traits+class combos you can make by scouting your adventurers.

I'm even more so interested in some party leader builds because as far as I understand, I'll be able to setup parties in the future with the leader providing benefits according to his willpower? The consensus seems to be that bards make best leaders so I'll go with one with the born leader trait for one party. But what other classes make great party leaders and what traits should I look out for? Do any of the other stats besides willpower matter for the party leader functions, bravery maybe? What are the stat requirements for a bard? What about for the other hybrid classes? Information seems quite barebones wherever I look unless you reached that part of the game. There's also 0 information on the traits of the story companions which can eventually join your guild, so I'd feel bad already having an adventurer for the role one of them would accomplish.

Lastly, a late game save would also probably help a ton as it would provide me the means of moving forward with perfect information whenever I want to check out a class I haven't unlocked, thus being able to scout the perfect candidate for said class with my current understanding of the game.

Daryl really lacks STR, hence his "meh" rating.

Gloves of strength do kinda solve his issues, he'd prolly make a decent swordmaster, but I have a better character filling that role, so he's just pew pewing

What can you guys tell me about the swordmaster?

Completely OP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nonsense class. My swordmaster at level 18 routinely has 150 dodge on a mission and doesn't care about anything. Get him "set strength to 40" gloves, lifesteal swords and troll hide armor and he can solo levels probably, didn't try but isee no rason for him not to.

Haha, really love the enthusiasm, but can you please cover some of my points as well? I haven't unlocked the class yet 😅

And to add to it. Do all the scripted companions join at level 1? Or do the ones obtainable later in the game join at higher levels?

Daryl is lvl4 (archer) , Misasa lvl 6 (thief) and Selene (priest) is also lvl 6 when they join the guild

Are the gloves of strength (set str to 40) good end-game items at level 20+? Was wondering if I should get an adventurer at level 1 dumping his strength in order to use this item late game, but I'm not sure how good is having 40 str by then. I'm also assuming other native and item strength buffs won't work anymore and str will stay set at 40 no matter what?

It's good for anyone who doesn't have strenght growth and can't ever expect to reach 40 STR without farming STR potions forever.
It's quite mid for a character with good STR growth who can already reach 36 at lvl 16.

yeah, then 40 str doesn't seem great. On the other hand you can dump str (C or D growth) in favor of the other 5 attributes and using the gloves you might get a nice all around arcane knight, for example, which has like 15 str at level 20+. That's pretty much the ideal scenario though. I have no clue in practice.

It's more likely that you're gonna use the gloves on a class grown to be a martial class in which case the bonus str given by the gloves could be closer to around ~10 points instead of ~25 points like in my previous example.

I'm curious about others' experience with this item. Also, are there any similar items to this one, like for the other attributes?

IMO the main purpose is to get decent STR without too much investment on class that need high STR despite only having like "B" in STR growth (Arcane knight, Ranger, Assassin, guardian). It can allow more DEX, END or INT trait focus on thoses instead, so they can do more magical damage, more dodge, or more tanking while still dealing good physical damage.

That or to give good damage to a newbie in training.
It's good for a second team or someone who need to catch up with main team. A main team character should already have good relevant stat growth and benefits from trainer traits. For exemple, my main AK has already 36 STR at lvl16, because of STR growth and benefiting from every boost I can. And despite not getting any unique traits, Elan can keep up with 34 STR because of his insane growth rates, so for both of them, the gloves would be useless. But if I would, let's say, add Misasa or Daryl to the team as either Assassin or Ranger, they would definitely enjoy the gloves due to their poor STR growth. After all, 40 STR is already plenty enough to get a lots of damage stacks from a poison master title.

I do not know if equivalent exist for let's say, INT or WIS.

Those gloves are a godsend to swordmasters and assasins since they primarily need dex and wis. Unless it's my assasin who's good at everything ofc.

Also yes, INT version does exist

Yeah, that's a very thorough analysis on the "40 stat" items. They might be best for a lower level adventurer until they get up to speed, while late game it might be of use to a hybrid class like bard or Arcane Knight. I might try it on paladin as well so that he can go full willpower while having 40 STR or 40 DEX.
