Games like this one? (Adventurer Guild or Squad simulator)
I know various mercenary simulators like Battle Brothers, WarTales, IronOath etc. But in all of them, the main entity is the "Squad/company", not the "Guild". And also, they all belong more to the type of low dark fantasy, rather than the typical "anime fantasy" as in OAG.
So, are there any recommendations?

And even without guild, game about adventurer squad with turn-based battles, promotions in ranks and all sorts of fantasy quests would be appreciated.

I found Fell Seal much more interesting than SoW personally. But I prefer making my own cool custom characters and builds over large scale stuff.

Eh fair enough, to each their own. I just personally hate having a huge roster of units only to be able to field 6-8 of them.

Oh actually now that I'm thinking about it more Unicorn Overlord came out recently and if you don't mind the real time battles (and have a console to play it on, its unfortunately unavailable on Steam/ PC for now) it was a pretty fun too.
the entire etrian odyssey series
"Guild Saga: Vanished Worlds" looks great!
Leman.

Its a battle brothers ripoff but fantasy. Our adventurer guild is much better though. Also, its a company not a guild.

I would highly recommend Symphony of War. It is made by a solo dev like this game, similiar graphics and writing. But the gameplay (like this game) is crack, just so much fun building squads.

I will thirdly recommend this game, it is great and very fun to build your "army" one thing I really really like about it is that you get to progressively field more quads into a few fairly epic scale battles which I think is one of this game's few short comings. It makes it feel like all of your units are meaningful in a way that not many other games do.

Way more interesting than Fell Seal (which is just an average Final fantasy tactics clone) at least for me.
Big agree.

SoW was fun and the story was entertaining. Fell Seal had no character development and was very dry, looking like a FFT clone with none of the soul or wit. I honestly wish I hadn't played it and just tapped on a calculator for a few hours instead.
well not exactly like this ..... I have found they do have similiar aspects including the roster management
Symphony of War
Kenshi
Bannerlord
Gladiator Guild manager
Xcom
Ogre Battle
I personally have played theese titles and have thoroughly enjoyed them
(A bodiless aside from the unseen zone) If any of you have a ps2 that you still play on occasionally and a source of 2nd-hand games close by...GLADIUS. Bit light on the management side though...

Shining Force covers what you want, the only issue is its a mega old gem, from the genesis era. You can however buy it on mobile, for a relatively cheap price... Not looked to see if it's on steam, but if not you can use any emulator and get it that way on a PC.
Massive chalice
My Personal recommendation is Horizon's Gate, it's less guild management and more of a pirate crew but its a gem when it comes to tactical combat. In fact just about every Rad Codex game is amazing tactical goodness
I know this is a bit old but. Kenshi.
Maybe one of these might be of interest?

Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story (Difficulty is very unbalanced later on though in this one.)

Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen (there are two more in the series and they are sold as bundle on Steam-sales)

Wintermoor Tactics Club

Library Of Ruina

Science Girls
wow everyone came up with some cool alternatives im going to have busy Xmas :) !!!!
