Game Winning Build
To start with pick the Titus class, this gives you crit chance and most importantly movement speed.
Now from the top down:
- Tesla (EVO regens armor) & Drones (EVO does stupid good DPS)
- Any secondary you fancy, I normally go for missiles just for aesthetics
- For the extra primary i normally go machine gun
- For tech choose attack speed, pickup radius (helps you level up sooner) and 3x armor

Work towards getting 1 of everything in each slot, this means that every level from now on will be an upgrade. Make sure you pump armor as much as possible but save your rerolls for getting one of everything in each slot.

By the time you get swarmed by hard to kill enemies your armor will be high enough that you take no damage from them and can completely ignore them. Once you have 30 armor the only monster that can hurt you is the final boss, but you should have enough move speed by now through Titus passive to just kite him whilst walking through all the other enemies.

Tried and tested on all levels.

Should probably point out that this strategy is only solid if you have good armory investment. For a new player it is much much stronger to max out one weapon. It is far stronger to have 1 level 10 weapon than 2 level 5 weapons. Other than that small issue seems like good recommendations.

I've found going with Titus (seems the best all round mech), 2 plasma for the main guns for maximum route clearing and spin to win clearing power, then either 2 drones for maximum dps or swap one out for a siege cannon for a bit more direct able damage works best, no need for tesla, it's not like you have any armour at only 15 anyway and once that vanishes in 1 hit from the blockers, do does all your defence.

Go with either lasers (highest direct dmg option due to bounce but not as cool as missiles) or remote turrets (the strongest option I've found).

For the the rest, 1 gravity to get your loot, 1 crit chance, 1 rate of fire and 2 damage mods.

Fill all slots first as I've found removing the rng of stuff you don't want let's you build up far faster, having both evolutions by 7 minutes this way is kind of crazy, pickup range massively speeds up leveling also.

This let's you pretty much bunker down anywhere, out run anything you need to, destroy the blockers, in seconds while having the ability to clear thousands of mobs in 360 degrees passively.

I LOVE the minigun, but they just don't do anywhere near the clearing potential of the plasma.

This setup leaves you at 70% crit chance, 140% bonus dmg and 50% rof, which makes those turrets able to clear hordes without your help, the drones (well spectors) just obliterate anything they look at, while the widow cannon upgrade with rof can offer 1800 dmg semi directable aoe blasts.

No need for healing when nothing can get near you :)

Why get machine gun when you have another plasma? Plasma is piercing and highest damage. Best primary weapon in the game.

Kind of crazy how weak the minigun is really, given its single target and doesn't pierce, especially when the plasma, shotgun, flame thrower will wipe several targets instantly, the high dps of the minigun that's only good for a single target feels wasted, sadly.

Titus for speed, 1x grav module for growth, 4x armor modules for invincibility (you can walk through everything incl. the rock circle guys), 2x plasma for path clearing, 2x siege cannon widomaker evo for single-target dps (you can kill the bosses quick, can even kill the rock circle guys)....

yes you can tank everything, but, its far slower, and you dont need armour if everything is dead before it gets anywhere near you :)
Yeah, it sure does seem like Titus is the best mech because you'll pretty much always need speed to survive the final boss and pickup range to reach a decent level. Other mechs need 2 expansions to get those, leaving Lazarus, Tombstone, and Arachmech with 1 slot, Dozer with 0 slots, Titus with 4 slots, and Striker with 3 slots. Since 4 expansion slots can easily increase the effectiveness of weapons more than having more weapon slots, that means Titus can outperform all the others (except possibly Striker if its blast hits a lot) for damage output.

The most successful loadout I've done with it is armed with 2x Siege Cannons, 2x Laser Blasters, Pulse Rifle and Shotgun. Then for the expansions, 2x Reactor, Damage, AI Core, and Gravity Retractor. You have to spin around a lot or keep moving since it's easy for stuff to sneak up behind it, but that build can easily obliterate whatever it looks at, including the blockers trying to trap you.

The more expansion slots mech has, the stronger it is.
This makes Titus and Striker the best ones just because of that.
All other mechs feel crippled, because you have to sacrifice something.
Extra weapon slots just don't really feel like a good trade for speed or magnet upgrade.

Oh and then there is dozer. Poor little dozer.

Yeah, TBH it seems like the main problem is that speed and pickup range expansions are effectively mandatory. That gives Titus -1 slot and every other mech -2 so the effective expansion slot counts aren't balanced the way they were intended to be.
