Stuck with a catch 22?

Apparently in order to upgrade the pistol with the bullet so I could open the ink doors I'd need the Book of Languages.
Now to get the Book of Languages even appear, you'd need to collect all ritual pages? (and I had to learn that through some extensive web search and youtube videos)
To collect the ritual page I had to turn on the "i'm lost" function or whatever in the menu, so it would show in the map that the next page would be in an area that is blocked with an ink door. So how the hack am I suppose to get that page if I can't even open the door that leads me to it?
I really loved this game until you ran out of options to move forward and you are left with the dreading web searches to even find out how to even proceed. Absolutely killed my enjoyment. Waste of time at this point.

You don't need pass through ink walls to find all ritual pages

I would like to post a screenshot here that the map shows that it is in an area where both end of that area has an ink wall
