game running extremely poorly on series x

Hello! Since there's not really a good place to ask about this via xbox, I figured I'd ask about it here. My wife is playing the game on our series x and it's running extremely poorly, constant stuttering, framerate issues etc. is this typical, or are we just lucky enough to be blessed with these issues as an isolated incident?

I honestly don't know how my wife is slogging through constant stutters, guess she's less sensitive to them than me, because to me it looks completely unplayable. it honestly looks like a memory leak type of situation, where it gets worse the longer she keeps playing.

is there any patches on their way to fix this?
