Help with golem quest

Hi there, I have advanced in the golem quest to the point that I have to "track down golem location". However, I have no clue as to what I must do now. The golem is nowhere to be seen, and there is no visual indicator of where to look for it.

Please help, this is my last remaining side quest.

Have you visited the Mansion and talked to everyone and inspect Golem there?
Have you been at his location in James Limbo behind ink wall - moving platform is leading to it ?

I was stuck with that and book of languages. There was a whole area I had missed where the spider boss is in James Limbo. Items you need flashlight (upgraded), owl rifle collectible (unlocks bullet upgrade to open the ink waterfalls. Sorry I don't remember the exact order but if you follow the hexagon markings on the map it leads you to owl camps. I found stuff I missed tracking those down.

You need to return to the "golem" location in James Limbo. From there you will see where he ... went,

there's a big purple lake close to the partitioned bedroom anchor, that's where you'll find it. Keep in mind a couple of tough shielded enemies, use the smoke bomb and slip past. (upgrade smoke bombs before trying).
