Says it's playable on Steam Deck but it is not.

The game starts fine but the stupid Epic Launcher is blocking the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ screen. When I tap the little X nothing happens. Anybody else have this issue and why the hell do we need to link our Epic account to play a Steam game? stupid just stupid.

There are multiple ways to get past that screen on the Deck. I believe someone said you can hold the Steam button and use the right stick to move a mouse cursor to close the box. You can also change your control scheme to simulate mouse and keyboard to close the box, then switch back to controller after that.

Don't tap the screen. Hold your Steam button to enable mouse use and click on it that way. I had to do the same thing on my ROG Ally

It runs great for me as well now it was just the Epic Games Launcher getting in the way.

Don't forget you can bring the TDP way down, I'm playing on 6. But 5 is also possible. Should give about three hours of battery life.

The online battle mode is definitely the weakest part about this game, it confuses me that they thought it needed crossplay/EGS.

simple fix if you don't want to map one of trackpads to mouse input or a simple launch in desktop mpde
log in to epic on pc and quit the game
restart deck and have the save file sync
next time time you launch the game on deck even in offline mode you wont be bothered by it.

i went into battle mode and it takes like two minutes to find a lobby and even then half the players are bots. i thought it was just because im on PC, but if that also includes the console players this game must be doing really bad LOL.

You can also hold the STEAM button and use the right trackpad to bring up the mouse at any time, no need to map anything.

There is crossplay, that's why there is EGS - I didn't realize it had bots! Are you sure they weren't just beginning players?
