OG sonic nostalgia question

Hi all, I haven't played a sonic game since genesis, this one looks like a neat reimagining of the old play style, which has me very interested, is this a worthy game to try? Im stuck between this game and possibly recapturing some of the nostalgia of the old games or possibly Sonic frontiers because being able to free roam with sonic powers seems like a good time also, youtube reviews have been less than helpful so I thought id come here for opinions thanks'

No. Don't play Sonic Superstars. Wait for it to be completely refixed or repatched in order to avoid the same frustration people, including the underwritten, have been going through since the day it was released.
Also, DO NOT play the hellish sonic frontiers' final horizon for the same reasons above and because it's always a very poorly created mess about literally everything even at the lowest difficulties, regardless by its "patches" or not.

If you haven't played since the Genesis, get Sonic Mania. You won't regret it. Don't get this, at least not at full price.
