So Prototype did a good job with it? It seems that Sonic Frontiers does the same thing but bad, that i want to get rid off XP upgrades.
Prototype does it more like a shop screen where you can purchase upgrades using XP you got from defeating monsters or such.
I think for Sonic Unleashed that RPG problem is a combination two parts, the stat change isn't big enough and the enemy grades are too few. They didn't make many grades (blue vs red) so they need to make the red guys to still be a challenge at max stats, while they also need the red guys not to be too strong for them to introduce them early as a tough enemy. Basically if they made more grades to the enemies and spread out the stats so that the strongest still are decent enemies to max stats that would solve the problem I say there is with the RPG elements.
Whereas with Unleashed, I still had to grind a good amount of EXP to fully max out all my stats even after beating the game.
And learn facts at first: Colors sold and got better reviewes, so SEGA, not ST, decided to rerelease this garbage, calling outsource studio that never does job well
That said, I would love to have an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ port or remaster (one that's actually good, unlike Colors Ultimate) because I wanna play it on the Steam Deck at 60fps. Emulating it on the Deck with RPCS3 or Xenia is too slow.
Square-Enix lost the source code to Kingdom Hearts 1, meaning that the original game had to get a remake.
Unleashed gets undeserved hate, the game is very good. Looks goods plays great has a good soundtrack and it is very polished.
saying Sonic Unleashed is trash is along the lines of saying Empire Strikes Back is the worse in the Star Wars Franchise (I.E completely untrue)
First of all, "Saying A is the same as saying B" argument - the most stupid thing that ever exist.
Second, yes, Unleashed gets undeserved hate. It's a good game for Nintendo Wii. It has good and unique controls, great art-style, decent soundtrack (not my favourite, but good). However, Sonic Team's Unleashed is meh trash. Boost stages - the only good point of the game. Werehog is bad: slow than it should be, combat is boring: long attack animations, enemies die fast, & just looks boring thanks to very dark lighting of night stages, that you see only claw-lines. Also medals, have sense only on night stages, not boost ones where medals slow down the pacing. Additional stages are also bad because of breaking the pacing.
