Sonic DROP DASH Achievement (Kill 100) Question

Hey. Does the Drop Dash kill count only happen when Sonic is mid air charging the drop dash or as he's rolling across the floor? Thanks!

Rolling across the floor. Do Lagoon Act 1 and get to the boss(stage is less than two minutes) and wait for him to drop the enemies, then drop dash across the screen. Get like 20-30 kills. Repeat the stage 3-4 times, and you'll have the achievement in no time.

Does the same go with Amy? She gotta be clobbering the hammer on the ground for the kill count or will the double jump count?

Any other good locations for the other characters? Knuckles is Golden Capital I guess ^_^

For you can also use Lagoon Act 1 and just glide at a low jump and it works just like Sonic. As for , wow Lagoon Act 1 is putting in work, but it's also an ideal place since from what I understand, it has to be her ground-based hammer attack and the boss is perfect for it.
