why is everyone upset with this game, and what is up with epic (ive been under a rock)

i love sonic games and despite how bad some of them has been i dont regret buying nay of em so when i see so many people refunding im honestly confused. also people are upset with epic for some reason and i just want some light shed on the subject.

All of that is irrelevant for Epic Games, because Epic is not under control of Tencent at all, they are only a minority investor. Epic follows the laws of the USA since Epic games is an American company majority owned and ran by an American. Tim Sweeney doesn't do anything because Winnie the Pooh says so, I have shown proof of that already. Mean while all you have provided is lies against Epic game, and provided excactly zero proof of your claims against Epic Games.

CCP may not care about other countries laws, but Epic does care about the USA and EU laws which is why they follow those laws and why the CCP has no control over Epic Games. If all it takes for a game company some money from China to make them break USA/EU laws, then the conspiracy theory equally applies to Valve because they have huge amount of business in China to keep going.

Even before the EU got involved with the Lootbox stuff, Epic had already removed loot boxes from their game, which was only contained with Save the World, while Battle Royal, the game actually popular with the kids, never had loot boxes. EU never forced Epic to do anything.

- It's using Denuvo again, which is known to upset several legitimate buyers regardless, but with Sonic Superstars the upset was magnified because ever since Sonic Mania over 6 years ago Sega had always been careful to mention Denuvo on the Steam Store Page for Sonic games months prior to release. This upset many users who believed it; you don't need an Epic Games account, and you can close this screen, but it reappears every startup. If you don't log in, you can play almost all of the game with the exception of an already dead online portion of its multiplayer "Battle Mode". thank you, i can see why people are upset but the thing is ive played the game now and it runs awesome im sad that the multi player option isnt getting traction but i dont see any reason to refund it cuz its a very fun game

I've always said, if people don't personally mind any issues caused by the additives - especially if for instance Denuvo locks you out on a day you wanted to play for a while - then I'm completely fine with them enjoying the product.

As far as why people hate D -- mostly it is because it lowers frame rates and makes game run badly.

The more nefarious crowd i.e. pirates/cheaters hate it because it is A) anti cheat and B) difficult to over-come at a kernel level.

The less nefarious/non-gamer crowd of devs and modders dislike it because it makes it so anti-tamper it makes their job harder.

As far as the anti-cheat crowd goes - go learn python and how to apply machine learning honestly... and just let the HUD interface play on its own -- the computer will /always/ be better than you.

agreed. enjoy the game. problems will be fixed by patch or fan patch eventually. it is sega and they have in the past gone back on stuff like this after the backlash. but repeat it on the following game.

You want to say that Epic changed that because they got into trouble with the EU. Then prove it. If people provide actual evidence, which they and you never do, then I'll take a look at it. You keep on saying stuff, but you have not provided a single shred of evidence that Epic Games is sharing customer data to China. You even claimed it was proven to show the data was being transferred over seas, I said you WILL NOT provide proof for that, and guess what? You still not have provided proof for that and you won't ever do that.

I have provided the statements from Tim Sweeney, a person that would know how things work with in Epic Games. A person that has talked against the CCP on Twitter, for example
