I've just spent an hour trying to load it. I actually got into the game once, but it crashed out while trying to load my save game from yesterday. I'm getting sick of seeing the yellow, pink, and green people while the bar slowly fills up, then stops, then crashes....

So first question is, what can you tell me about your PC?

It's all while it loads you're saying right?

Same Problem. The game loads for about 20 seconds, the loading bar progresses and in the middle of the loading process the game crashes and goes back to the Steam screen without an error message. Previously I could play the game for 4 hours, then a first crash and since then always the same process as above.

1) manually Install vcredist
2) manually directx
3) then reboot your system to ensure both of the above 'sticks'

Also please update your video drivers for your card

If you're on a laptop ensure you're forcing the game to use the AMD/Nvidia GPU explicitly

Othewise please post your system specs. Also post to pastebin.com your ara.log from

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Ara History Untold\logs\ara.log

Once it finally loads I can play for hours and hours and it won't crash. Just during the loading screen at startup.

im so over the start screen bar freezing and sending me back to steam.
Game worked fine the day of release until i got to 2nd stage then it crashed.
At first i thought it was a game glitch because i started a war the turn before 2nd stage.
So, then next day tried to load saved game but crashed and sent me back to steam.
when I finally got back to game load screen after 15 to 20 times restarting game i got to game load scree. Nice, i tried starting a new game, it loaded, i played but it crashed at 2nd stage AGAIN.
Ever since then i cant even get back to the load game screen to start a new game.
please help.....dev's
I know its not my system, i have got the game running twice and played for several hours.


so Now i pray and try the following, am I missing a step or something else??

every other day restart computer, close all startup apps and then pray while I
0 verify background apps are not starting up via cc cleaner
1 i try uninstalling and wiping game and steam with cc cleaner
2 clean cache and verify i don't have file remnants on hard drive
3 re download steam,
4 re download game
5 re verify install, restart computer
6 start steam and load game and or i have also tried loading from ara setup file as admin

7 curse and try not to throw something at my monitor.
