New patch fix most of the problems?

So I held off on this game at release because of the mixed reviews, and some very specific complaints about the game. I just saw a short YouTube video about the new 1.1 patch, and it looks like the devs addressed many of the main complaints about the game, and have said they will be working on fixing others.

I can't remember seeing such a good response from developers in any other game, who seem to have listened to the players.

So, have they addressed most of the problems people had with the game? If the game had come out like this on release, would the reviews have been much more positive, or is there still a lot left to fix in ARA?

I still have to get more hands on experience with the new version, but they really fixed or improved most of the issues I had. I guess the average score would have been around 10% higher for this version

There's still a LOT to fix, but the improvement is significant.

This article came up in my feed today. How timely. I think I am going to pick up this game, and I look forward to what the devs bring to the table in the future.

I'd say yes. It resolved some significant complains. For example inability to reform or upgrade armies. UI was improved significantly.
